Consultation

Your journey begins with a personalized consultation with one of our Fertility Specialists. Together, you’ll discuss your reproductive goals, review your medical history, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the egg freezing process. This is the perfect time to ask questions and address any concerns you might have.

Assessment

A physical exam
Blood tests related to fertility, such as the Anti-Müllerian Hormone
A full pelvic ultrasound

These assessments provide valuable insights into your fertility and help us estimate the number of eggs that can be retrieved in one cycle.

Using your test results, we’ll craft a customized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. Our team will guide you through the steps leading up to your cycle, ensuring you’re fully prepared and comfortable before starting your egg freezing cycle.

Cycle Monitoring

Over 10–14 days, natural hormone injections will be used to stimulate your ovaries to produce eggs. During this time, our team will closely monitor your progress through intermittent blood tests and ultrasounds to ensure optimal results.

Egg Retrieval

Once your eggs are ready, they’ll be retrieved through a short procedure performed under conscious sedation. Using ultrasound guidance, a specialized needle collects the eggs directly from your ovaries. A needle guided by ultrasound, will collect the eggs from your ovaries.

Freezing

Your eggs are immediately frozen in our state of the art laboratory, which protects their quality and viability for future use.

Storage

Your frozen eggs are safely stored in our laboratory and remain available for whenever you're ready to use them.

Dr. Clifford Librach is a leading reproductive endocrinologist with over 30 years of experience in fertility medicine. As the founder and director of the CReATe Fertility Centre, he is recognised for his innovative approach to assisted reproductive technologies and compassionate patient care.

He has played a pivotal role in advancing fertility treatments in Canada, combining patient-centred care with leadership in reproductive endocrinology. Dr. Librach is also a professor at the University of Toronto and has published extensively on fertility and reproductive health. His research focuses on improving outcomes in in vitro fertilisation (IVF), preimplantation genetic testing, and fertility preservation.

Rima Kharonsky, NP, is a Nurse Practitioner at CReATe Fertility Centre with a strong clinical focus on fertility preservation and women’s reproductive health education. She earned her BScN from the University of Western Ontario and her MN–NP from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University).

Rima has been part of the CReATe team for more than a decade, beginning her career as a sedation and circulation nurse in the operating room before moving into leadership as manager of the cycle-monitoring department. In 2016, she pioneered the Nurse Practitioner role at CReATe, expanding the ways advanced practice care supports patients throughout their fertility journey.

Today, Rima is dedicated to helping individuals understand their ovarian reserve, reproductive aging, and options for egg freezing, empowering them to make informed decisions about their future fertility.
